Finalist of the National Learning Disabilities Awards
Rob Smith represented Amber Support as a finalist at the National Learning Disabillity Awards 2014
2 April 2014 saw finalists from all over the country come together for the Judging day of the National Learning Disabilities Awards.
We are proud to announce that Rob Smith was one of the shortlisted finalists invited to attend the national finals, which brought together the crème de la crème of the social care workforce. He was only 1 of 8 shortlisted from the whole of the country in his category and was chosen due to his ability to demonstrate the innovative ways Amber Support delivers support to individuals in order that they are able to live the life they choose.
The Award Ceremony, which is being organised by Care Talk magazine in association with the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD), will take place on 16th May 2014 at the prestigious Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. The evening will consist of a champagne reception, a superb gourmet dinner followed by the awards presentation with host Jeff Brazier from This Morning fame.
The National Learning Disabilities Awards are a celebration of excellence across the learning disability and autism sector. The purpose of the awards is to promote best practice and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
The awards offer a unique opportunity to celebrate the successes of individuals, teams and businesses throughout the UK - people who really do make a positive impact on the lives of people with a learning disability . We wish Rob the best of luck as without such people, quality, person centred support for those with a disability, would fail.
