The National Learning Disabilities Awards
AN EVENING OF CELEBRATIONS AT THE
NATIONAL LEARNING DISABILITIES AWARDS
We were proud to have attended the very first National Learning Disabilities Awards which took place at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham.
The event showcased excellence and innovation in the sector and was a platform for finalists such as Amber Support Services to share their good news stories and examples of good practice.
The awards evening paid tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. Categories represented all areas of the sector and included Rob Smith from Amber Support who was finalist in the Newcomer Award Category.
The awards were hosted by Jeff Brazier from This Morning fame and supported by a number of organisations including Care England; Professor Martin Green OBE who said:
"The Learning Disabilities Awards looks to redress the lack of recognition that people who work in social care receive and is recognising and rewarding the very best in the social care workforce"
Although Rob did not win overall in his category, we are proud of his achievements and the transformational work of everyone who works at Amber Support.
