The build up to Christmas for us starts with Halloween and each year grows into a bigger community based activity where we get together and dress up in fun costumes!
Halloween is steeped in superstition however we simply focus on the friendly aspects of pumpkin carvings, apple bobbing and getting crafty, making spooky party decorations and food.
This year Droitwich House held a Spooktacular Party and invited all of their friends - we all had such fun deciding upon our outfits and making or hiring them!
Our Day Service also set Autumn and Halloween as one of their projects, researching traditions and making pumpkin carvings whilst listening to music such as Monster Mash and Ghostbusters!
We particularly love pumpkins as it is such a versatile and nutritious autumn food which contains a good amount of fibre and keeps you feeling fuller for longer! We particularly love comparing our pumpkin designs to others during our daily activities!
